Contemporary Award-winning photographer


Siphephile “Peppy” Sibanyoni is a freelance photographer in Cape Town. Her passion for photography led her to enroll with the photography Institute (UK) where she obtained her Diploma in Photography. Her main interest is FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY. Besides that, she photographs portraits, fashion, food, and all sorts of storytelling imagery.


Siphephile travels the African continent, narrating the untold stories of African tribes and other ethnic diversities, through the lens and participates in exhibitions.


She is an award-winning photographer with the European Union dubbed “Swaziland Now” photography competition in 2014. Amongst a hundred and twenty contestants, her work “Political Activist” saw her scoop the first prize of the MTN Swaziland Bushfire.


Through her hard work and determination, the African News Agency appointed her as part of the leading female photographers within the African continent. Working with publications such as The Cape Times, Cape Argus, The Times, The Star, New York Times, African Independent and Pretoria News.


In December 2018, she took part in the 35Awards International Photography competition, her submitted artwork entitled Hope became part of the top 1900, where she reached the second stage. A total of 392 000 photos were submitted by 112 268 people from 172 countries.


Besides photography, she is a co-founding member of an African non-governmental organization bases in Tanzania, Dare-Salam known as Epikaizo Care International, with an initiative of a poverty-free community that is well empowered and supported to manage lives sustainably.


For the past four years, Siphephile has been passionately uprooting the richness of Africa, searching for new frontiers through the lens, archiving the content and narrating her discoveries
